Mixed Bag!?

Hi Everyone,

Today was another visit to Wesley – results on the liver counts are not as good as last week. Now have 3 in the red. Having a little joke at the front reception counter we decided that I would not wear my red wig on Tues again!!!!

Yes it is disappointing,  and I am just trying to deal with this little setback, I guess for me the journey just keeps on keeping on. I will just put my self in Jesus’s hands and keep going – havent got anything better that I can do hey? I have my little down and then I will pick myself up and get going.

Tomorrow is another day and I have been let out to big girls play world. Sharon and the girls call my place here Barbie Land but the craft show really is like being in a big person’s lolly shop. Hopefully I will be kept too busy in the Bernina class room to go and spend too many $$. It is always great to catch up with friends and I just love seeing who comes thru my classroom door. Please come and visit me if you are there. One lady last year made the comment as she came in the door and said – “ wow didn’t think I would see you here again”. She felt really bad when she realised what she had said but I just laughed and told her I would still  be around to annoy everyone for a while yet. Interestingly, just 2 weeks after that show things really went bad and this blog started. Amazing hey, thankyou God for all You have done for me in this past year.

Well I will finish this and attach yet a couple more pics. Not of my things but of Markie’s 60th – should have done that earlier.

Oh by the way, you may have noticed if you read some of the comments sometimes that there is often one from Sue Wharton. Sue was at school with me at Reece High in Devonport and we have kept contact. Well, a few weeks she was in hosp with a 2nd development of cancer. She and her husband Michael pastor a church in Melb and she is so faithful with her prayers and care of me yet she has a huge struggle too. So all you praying people please give one for Sue – she is a very special lady.

Bless you

Barb

Hi Barb: Thanks for great family pics. So pleased you were able to be at the 'big girls play world'. Reg and I had been praying you would not miss out on those special days. We continue to pray for you and will add Sue to our list. BTW, our Chris' Mike is also a fanatical Cats supporter. He and Chris went to Launceston once just to see Cats play there and earlier this year came to Brisbane to see them at the Gabba. Love to all, Jean - Reg too, of course.

    Hi Barb,

Just a quick note to let you know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We've missed you at church the last couple of weeks, but know 'other stuff' has been happening. We hope that you had a great time at the craft show and look forward to hearing about it next time we see you.

With all our love, hugs and prayers,

    Julian, Heidi and Mahlia

All of us bear witness to the dissolution of our piece of creation. Only the novelist can restore to us, in the miracle of ink that pours itself like blood onto paper, the lineaments of our lost worlds, alive.
